Lifetime Protection applies to all new vehicles and select pre-owned vehicles that are 8 model years old or newer with 80,000 miles or less. Pre-owned vehicles must have passed our Lifetime Powertrain Protection certification program, pass a similar inspection or have a satisfactory CarFax/AutoCheck profile. Excludes luxury brands and diesel engines. (Not available on any Commercially used vehicles whether new or used.)
What's covered under Lifetime Powertrain Protection?
Powertrain components including the Engine (all internally lubricated parts, engine block, intake/exhaust manifolds. Engine Block covered if damaged as the result of the failure to an internally lubricated part), the Transmission/Transfer case (all internally lubricated parts, torque converter, mounts. Gear Cases and Housings are only covered as a result of the failure of an internally lubricated part) the Drive Axle (Axle) (axle shafts and bearings, propeller shafts, 4WD actuator) and the Turbocharger/Supercharger (if factory-installed). Additional covered components are listed on the Lifetime Powertrain Protection certificate.
How long does Lifetime Powertrain Protection last?
Lifetime Powertrain Protection will continue as long as you own the vehicle! There is no restriction on time or elapsed miles.
How much does Lifetime Powertrain Protection cost?
Lifetime Powertrain Protection is provided to you free of charge! Our goal is to build "Customers for Life", so Lifetime Powertrain Protection comes standard with every qualifying vehicle that we sell. You need only follow the vehicle maintenance requirements explained on the Lifetime Powertrain Protection certificate to qualify for benefits.
Is there any extra maintenance required to maintain eligibility?
No! If you follow the appropriate maintenance schedule in your vehicles owner's manual, you are covered! Please be aware that your owner's manual will have different maintenance schedules based on your driving habits and local conditions. These are often referred to as severe use, and this info is clearly spelled out in your vehicle's manual.
We even give you a grace period of 1,000 miles from the owner's manual guidelines to get the required services performed. Our dealers are happy to assist you with additional vehicle maintenance to ensure that your vehicle is kept in maximum operating condition, but all you are required to do is follow your owner's manual.
Do I have to have all of my service completed at your dealership?
No! If servicing at our locations is not the most convenient for you, you can service with any repair facility that uses certified technicians. If you are a DIY kind of person, you can even do it yourself (check the contract for any documentation you may need to provide.) However, our award-winning service departments will exceed your expectations if you are able to make it back to us. For your convenience, we will keep track of all your service records that will be required to be presented should a warranty claim situation arise.
Where can I have repairs covered by Lifetime Powertrain Protection performed?
You must have warranty work performed by an automotive repair facility using ASE certified mechanics.
Is the Lifetime Powertrain Protection transferable if I sell the vehicle?
No, Lifetime Powertrain Protection applies only to the owner who purchased the vehicle from us.
What's the catch?
There are no catches, hidden fees, or gimmicks. Lifetime Powertrain Protection is provided as an added value "thank you" to our customers for doing business with us!
